Free Training, Webinars, and Resources for Event Industry Professionals
Like many industries, the events industry has basically shut down during the COVID-19 quarantine. And while we have had all this downtime, one of the things we have spent our time doing is to continue to learn and grow. In the AV and LED screen industry, the technology is constantly changing, and new products are always being introduced to the market. No matter how much you know, there is always room to learn more.
There is so much information and almost infinite knowledge-base online. Even if you know a lot about certain topics, there are always new things to learn, and different tips and techniques you can discover from others. A lot of this shelter-in-place order we have spent time joining webinars, watching training videos, talking with others in the industry, and doing our own research on related AV topics online. So we thought for others in the LED video wall or AV rental industry, or for other small businesses, we have created a list of some of the resources we have used during the quarantine time. Hopefully this can be of value to others to grow your knowledge while we are all stuck inside.
AV Event and Technology Training, Tutorials, and Classes: A huge list of different audio, video, lighting, event, and technology classes, training, tutorials, podcasts, and resources from Magnum.
Cinematography Master Class and Other Free Software: No Film School is offering free Access to their five-part cinematography class, as well as a list of companies offering free software during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Novastar Webinars and Youtube Videos: Novastar has been doing a variety of webinar trainings that you can tune into, and you can check their Facebook for upcoming topics. They also have informational videos on their Youtube page, and many of these webinars are being posted on the Youtube page after the live version is done.
Marketing and Small Business Training Webinars: Constant Contact has been providing a lot of free informational webinars for different online marketing and small business operation topics, specifically during Coronavirus. They also archive the webinars on their site.
Event Industry Resources and Small Business COVID-19 Resources: Meet Minneapolis has compiled plenty of resources for resources for small business during the pandemic, and have many focused on the event and tourism industry. They also have been providing free webinars to partners.
Tricaster Help and Videos: Newtek Tricasters have a series of training videos, and their forum is also a good place to go to learn more.
YeSchool LED Training Videos: One of our LED tile providers, YesTech, has started a training video series called YeSchool, providing training and tips on different LED topics.
Marketing and Website Webinars and Tools: Digital Toolbox and Roundpeg provide free webinars and other resources for online marketing and website management.
