Solution to Rent an LED Screen for Commencement Ceremony During COVID-19
For now, it's uncertain if we will see graduation ceremonies in the way we are accustomed to. Due to Coronavirus, the graduating class of 2020 may not be able to attend typical gradution ceremonies. No one knows how long shelter-in-place orders will last, or how we will ease back into holding public events. Even if some things start opening back up, they may be limited to a certain number of people or have other restrictions.
For many students and their families, high school and college graduations are a major moment in their lives. In these times, we would like to help people experience this special moment. There are still other solutions available that would allow the school to hold these graduations, although it might look a little different than what we are used to.
We have an alternative to the typical graduation ceremony that uses our jumbotron LED screens. Because even if gatherings are allowed in some capacity, there will be a need for social distancing, and many people won't feel comfortable being so close to each other. Using our large video walls, we can display live cameras or other video or images to the crowd that will be visible for long distances, so people can be more spread out.
Our modular LED screens can be set up in most locations, indoor or outdoor, so that guests will be able to see everything happening at the ceremony. The commencement can also be setup like a drive-in movie where students and their families can park their cars in a parking lot or field and watch everything without ever needing to leave the vehicle. They can view everything on the big screen, and we can set up a speaker system or have audio play through the car stereos using an FM transmitter.
We also have the option to live stream the whole event online for anyone that can't attend or feels safer at home. Since we are already filming the ceremony, we can easily send the signal so people can watch from anywhere in the world with some extra equipment. This is a great solution to be able to include anyone who wants to tune in, and we can stream to a variety of sources, such as Facebook, Youtube, Twitch, Vimeo, your website, and more. We can secure it so only people with a link or the password can watch the stream.
Displaying all content on the LED digital sign allows students, faculty, and family to keep a safe distance while still being able to come together to celebrate a special event. We can work with you to figure out the exact details for what works best for your specific graduation event. A lot depends on what is allowed at the time and how people are feeling about being in public. Safety is the first priority, so if there is a possibility to still hold a commencement ceremony while keeping people safe, we would be happy to offer a safer alternative.
