An Update from Fire Up Creative During COVID-19 Pandemic
The COVID-19 outbreak has affected everyone, and every industry in one way or another. The event industry of course, was hit harder than most. Events of pretty much every kind have been been shut down for the next couple months, and have been for at least a month prior to that. There are so many different areas in the industry that are impacted, from hotels and restaurants to AV workers and event organizers.
With almost no income for at least a few months, this is a very difficult time for these establishments. And it's not much different for us at Fire Up Creative. The bills are still coming, but our normal revenue has basically disappeared. But we are still pushing forward and doing everything we can to stay productive while we have all this down time. There is always something to do, so we will continue to make the best of an unfortunate situation. We are using this time to learn new software and gear, repair equipment, finish paperwork and office work, sales and marketing, organizing and cleaning up the shop and office space, and more.
No one knows how long this is going to last or what will happen next. But all we can do right now is our best to keep ourselves and others safe, keep positive, and be prepared for when everything returns to normal. Whenever that does happen, we will be ready to return to the event world. We will almost certainly have a significantly slower year, and our fall season may be packed with rescheduled events, but we will figure it out as we go, the same as everyone else. We are doing the best we can to navigate this, and appreciate you being patient with us as we try to work around all the changing schedules.
We are trying to fit in all the new dates as they are adjusted, and we expect even more will change over the next couple months. We would just ask that you also have some patience with us as we try to figure out what is right for all our clients in these unprecedented circumstances. If you haven't already, please let us know if you are cancelling, postponing, or rescheduling your event, or if you are still deciding on what to do. We will work with you to the best of our abilities to fit you in and find a solution that works for everyone. Of course, we are still keeping screens reserved for dates that have not adjusted their event yet, and will do everything in our power to fit you into a constantly changing schedule.
